Lucie Dazé is a children’s book author. When her son was a toddler, she loved bringing home new books for him to discover. She is thankful to have had the opportunity to read inspiring stories with him over the years. Each of them, helping to shape him into the compassionate and kind man he is today.
Lucie aims to write stories that children will laugh with, connect with and that will inspire them to be kind, respectful and empathetic toward all.
An animal and nature lover, she believes that we are guests on this beautiful planet and we have a responsibility to be respectful and kind to all beings. Whether human, animal or plant, and no matter what size, shape or color, we are interconnected and equally valuable.

THE STAR
Peppy is courageous and resilient and she is the inspiration behind the book character, Rosy. She was adopted in 2018 and lives with the author’s son and his girlfriend. Peppy has four teeth left on the right side, hence the reason why her adorable little tongue hangs out.
Although she is timid at first, Peppy is incredibly sweet, calm and affectionate. She is sure to warm your heart if you cross her path. Her few scars are a reminder of the life she has left behind. If you look closely, you may be able to spot one of them on the top of her left ear.
Since her adoption, Peppy has slowly discovered what it means to be a dog. She’s learned to play with humans and animals, but she still doesn’t quite understand what is special about toys. Some of her favorite foods are broccoli, apples and peanut butter. She now knows that it’s completely acceptable to drink water out of a bowl.
As time goes on, memories of her past life are slowly fading away and she is gaining the confidence she needs to live her best life.
In the fall of 2021, she welcomed a brother named Pan, also a Chihuahua. Peppy is busy helping him adjust to his new life.
